I’m kinda over gettin’ told to ‘Throw My Hands Up in the Air’… so there.

By now, everyone that listens to any kind of music these days knows that Lorde is just killin’ everyones attempts at relevancy. Except, of course, if you are Miley Cyrus, because I mean, it’s Miley. Back on Lorde, she released ‘Royals’ and the song just detonated radio, TV, websites, charts, commercials, lives… I mean for a while, it was unstoppable. Fittingly, the song to stop it would be another Lorde song, and it’s followup, “Team.”

Damn, I’m Feeling Myself.

 I’d venture to say that everyone in America realizes how wack Will.I.Am is. Once such a musical innovator, churning out so many amazing songs with the Black Eyed Peas, now Will has been having difficulty garnering the commercial success he once was guaranteed. Both of his solo efforts really haven’t made that much of a splash. Scream & Shout was huge but was it because of him or Britney? The jury is still out on that. In what seems to be a complete repeat in trying to harness someone else’s success, he releases this song, with hot commodity Miley Cyrus on it.
