I’d venture to say that everyone in America realizes how wack Will.I.Am is. Once such a musical innovator, churning out so many amazing songs with the Black Eyed Peas, now Will has been having difficulty garnering the commercial success he once was guaranteed. Both of his solo efforts really haven’t made that much of a splash. Scream & Shout was huge but was it because of him or Britney? The jury is still out on that. In what seems to be a complete repeat in trying to harness someone else’s success, he releases this song, with hot commodity Miley Cyrus on it. The song “Feeling Myself” features Wiz Khalifa, French Montana and Miley Cyrus, and it’s sure to be a hit. It’s frustrating that Will has to rely on other people more current to propel his career, given his talent, however, I understand that it takes what ever it takes to make it to the top. The song is dope, super dope and undeniably a hit, and also probably showcases Will in his best way. Miley, as always lately, just kills it. The features are perfect for the song and might be just enough to give Will a chance to hit some success with the re-release, as long as he has a killer follow-up single. Hopefully, Will continues down this path.
